I make bent wood frames, as part of my art, by bending and gluing together thin strips of wood. I apply the same technique for building one of a kind trellis. The trellises are made of 3" bendable cedar boards joined with exterior wood glue. The pieces are sanded and can be stained or painted. I first design a customized piece on a 3D program to get a good visual of it before I start. I build the arch trellises in four foot sections which can be daisy chained together to make a tunnel to any length. The design can be very flexible with this technique and creates a unique trellis and wood structures.

I can use the same technique for other uses like this window awning design
